More than just another event, it was a <em>true milestone<\/em> for our company: it allowed us to publicly share our mission of <strong>making trade more human, transparent, and fair<\/strong>\u2014and to see firsthand how deeply this message resonates with key players in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-x-large-font-size\">&#8220;At <strong>Carib\u00ed<\/strong>, we believe trade can be different: by serving as a <strong>trusted bridge<\/strong> between producers in <strong>Central America<\/strong> and <strong>Colombia<\/strong> and buyers in the Pacific Northwest, we build relationships where everyone benefits, and where<strong> quality and transparency<\/strong> are the common thread.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-wrap-balance is-style-text-wrap-balance--1\">During the festival, we didn\u2019t just present our vision\u2014<strong>we connected with remarkable people who share a commitment to doing business with integrity.<\/strong> Among them was the team at <strong>Buckman Coffee Factory<\/strong>, a shared roasting and training space in Portland that\u2019s an incubator for small roasters and specialty coffee projects. <strong>Buckman<\/strong> showed genuine interest in our mission, and we discussed <strong>potential collaborations<\/strong> around <strong>Latin American coffees with traceability.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/caribitrading.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_0052-1.jpg?resize=768%2C1024&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/caribitrading.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_0052-1-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/caribitrading.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_0052-1-scaled.jpg?resize=225%2C300&amp;ssl=1 225w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/caribitrading.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_0052-1-scaled.jpg?resize=1152%2C1536&amp;ssl=1 1152w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/caribitrading.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_0052-1-scaled.jpg?resize=1536%2C2048&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/caribitrading.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_0052-1-scaled.jpg?w=1920&amp;ssl=1 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">One of the recurring themes was the <strong>rising strength of the Latino coffee market.<\/strong> In fact, specialty coffee consumption among Latinos in the United States is the <strong>fastest-growing in the country:<\/strong> 46% of American adults drank specialty coffee in the last day\u2014surpassing traditional coffee (42%) for the first time. Most importantly for our vision, 64% of adults aged 25 to 39\u2014a segment in which the Latino population is growing fastest\u2014drink specialty coffee every week, <strong>driving demand for products connected to authentic origin stories and experiences.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">This insight inspired a bold idea: <strong>to develop Spanish-language cupping and roasting courses, designed specifically for Latino professionals and enthusiasts.<\/strong> This project, which we hope to launch <strong>early next year<\/strong> in partnership with instructor <strong>Mike Nelson<\/strong>, will further strengthen the bridge between cultures and opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We were also pleased to meet the team from<strong> Dear Francis Coffee<\/strong>, who stood out with exquisite Guatemalan coffees and a vision that <strong>values origin.<\/strong> We shared stories with <strong>Andr\u00e9s Vega Jaiume, creator of The Colombian Guy <\/strong>and his innovative <strong>mobile coffee bar concept<\/strong> in Portland.
